Laura Burch makes wonderful functional ceramics
for the home. She creates a wide range of mugs, plates, bedside
carafes, teasets, bowls, soap dishes, spootnrests, sugar bowls,
creamers, pitchers and other items that she makes with beautiful
white porcelain. She also specializes in items with a custom
name added or with small animal figures such as birds, bunnies,
rabbits, and frogs.
Laura says: "From
the very beginning of my career as a functional potter I have
used animal and flower motifs. I love the throwing process in
producing a pot and then the fun of decoration knowing that each
piece will probably be seen, held, and used on a daily basis
by a child or an adult."
